Ever since I can remember I have loved to draw.  I would sit in my room for hours drawing animals, and as I grew up, I took art in school, but generally let it slide and moved on to other things and was always told I could never make a career out of it. I have always regretted that decision.

Shortly after I completed University I started taking art classes with Eileen Raucher-Sutton at Suttonart in Edmonton.

After taking classes with Eileen for many years, I decided I wanted to specialize in animal portraits.  It was at that point I found Maurade Baynton, who is still my teacher and mentor to this day.

And now I am making a career doing animal portraits.  It may be a little later in life but I will never look back.    So never let anyone steer you away from your passion in life!
